Feliz Navidad! (PART 3 – GRANADA)

Sitting at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Granada is most famously home to the Moorish Alhambra Palace dating back to the 14th century. Much to our disappointment, however, it was “sold out” when we arrived and we were unable to get in. We walked the grounds, and ultimately down the hill to the city below to enjoy some delicious paella and a few San Miguels.

The remainder of the afternoon was spent meandering around the narrow cobblestone streets of beautiful Granada to the Plaza Mirador de San Nicholas. This plaza is one of the highest points in the Albayzin (the district in which Granada lies), which offers beautiful views of the Alhambra Palace, Sierra Nevada mountains, and the city below.
